Barun Sobti is not a new name to us. We all very well know him as Shravan of Baat Hamari Pakki Hai. In that show he made many fans especially the girls. And now he is back with a bang as Arnav Singh Raizada of Is Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon. And in this serial too, his character Arnav is getting popular.

Apart from Baat Hamari Pakki Hai and Is Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Barun has done two more shows- Shraddha on Star Plus (his first serial) and Dil Mil Gaye on Star One, but Sony’s Baat Hamari Pakki Hai gave him the real recognition. Besides these serials he has done few add campaigns also like Ford Figo, Hero Honda Passion etc.

Barun is basically from Delhi from where he completed his studies. His date of birth is 21 August 1984. He got married to his childhood love on 12^th December 2010. It was a very low profile marriage with just some close friends and relatives.

Now talking about his role in “Is Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon”, Barun’s character is completely opposite to Shravan in Baat Hamari Pakki Hai. Where Shravan was carefree and irresponsible, Arnav is more mature and introvert. Arnav is a self made person who has achieved success in a very young age. Due to some bad experiences in past, Arnav believes that money can buy everything, even love. But his thinking completely changes when he meets Khushi (played by Sanaya Irani) who teaches him the meaning of love.

This storyline has potential and all the actors including Barun are putting their best efforts into it. His on screen chemistry with Sanaya is also good so there is no doubt that soon Arnav Singh Raizada of Is Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon will become a popular name of small screen.

We all know him as the Ram of Sagar Production’s new Ramayan which was aired on NDTV Imagine. In the show Gurmeet played Ram so well that he made a huge fan following after this show. Though playing Ram in this show was not easy as the image of Old Ram was still alive in the viewers’ minds but still Gurmeet made his own place and impressed the viewers. He also won the 'Most Promising New Talent of Tomorrow' award for his role in this serial.
Though Gurmeet got recognized from Ramayan, but it was not his first show. Before this serial he had done a Tamil show- Mayavi where he played a negative role. His girlfriend Debina Bannerjee was also a part of this Tamil show, she was the female lead. Then they did Ramayan together as the main leads. And then did a reality show too- Pati, Patni aur Woh
Gurmeet was interested in acting since a very young age. So he joined a theatre in Jabalpur when he was 18.
Then he won the title of 'Mr.Jabalpur' and also participated in "Mr. India" contest. He took up modeling, acted in few music videos and did small roles in many serials. He also did a small role in the movie KOI AAP SA, where he played a college friend to the actor Aftab Shiv-Dasani. Then he got the Tamil serial and his acting career began.
These days Gurmeet is playing the male lead in Star One’s show- Geet Hui Sabse Parayi. In this show he is in an angry young man role which is totally opposite to his portrayal of Lord Ram in the previous show. His character’s name is Maan Khurana. Maan likes to keep a distance from the outside world especially girls. Though Maan has a cold exterior but is very kind by heart; that is the reason, he is always there to help the female lead- Geet (played by Drashti Dhami) when she is in trouble. He says harsh words to her but always cares for her in his heart.

Star Plus’s new show- Navya’s promos got my attention, so I decided to give this show a try and from the first episode I got glued to this show. Yes, the concept and the storyline of the show are fresh and refreshing but I had one more reason to like this show and it is the main lead of the show- Shaheer Sheikh, who is playing Anant in the show.

I first liked him in Disney’s Kya Mast Hai Life and now in Navya, he is doing a fabulous job.I am sure like me there must be huge number of fans of Shaheer Sheikh who want to know more about their favorite star. So for their sake I am writing this article where I am sharing some of the information about this budding star.

Shaheer is 6’2” tall. His birth date is on 8th March 1988. He is from Jammu and has done LLB. He turned in to acting when one of his friends invited him to Mumbai for auditions where he got selected and his acting career started.

Acting Career
His first show was Disney Channel’s- Kya Mast Hai Life. He played Vir in that show and made many fans since that time. Then he played a small role (he played Nana Saheb) in Zee TV’s Jhansi Ki Rani. And now he is playing the male lead- Anant in this new show- Navya on Star Plus.

Now talking about Shaheer’s role in Navya; Anant is a college going boy of present day time. He is modernized in his looks and appearance but is a traditionalist in his mind who respects his family and believes in old values and arranged marriages. Then he meets the female lead- Navya (played by Soumya Seth) in college and likes her. Soon this liking blossoms in to a beautiful love story.

I am sure that Shaheer’s popularity will rise day by day and soon Anant- Navya’s pair will become a hit jodi of Indian Television.

Barun Sobti, the popular face of ‘Baat Hamari Pakki Hai’ aired on Sony Entertainment Television tied the knot to the love of his life in a very private ceremony held on the 12^th of December. According to reports in the media, only close friends and family members of Barun Sobti were present in the wedding ceremony. When quizzed by the media on his changing status so suddenly, Barun Sobti reveals that he is now a very happy man as he is now married to the love of his life. However, the television actor did not reveal the name of his bride citing reasons of conservatism!

The news of his marriage came as a surprise to many of his fans because at the age of 26 Barun Sobti has just started out on a career in Indian television with only two popular serials to his name. Given his good looks, the actor had already acquired a huge female fan following and he is now being blamed for breaking a million hearts!
